Linden tea has a long history of therapeutic use in addition to its delicious flavor and pleasant aroma. Drinking Linden tea has several advantages, such as:

  • Alleviating inflammation and lowering pain
  • Reducing stress and anxiety

Linden is commonly used for several illnesses, including colds, headaches, sleeplessness, and itchy skin.

What is the mechanism behind its functioning?
Linden possesses the capacity to reduce mucus production and alleviate anxiety.

Linden tea, also known as Tè de Tila, possesses antioxidant properties as a result of its phenolic acid composition.

According to the University of Buenos Aires, it possesses antispasmodic qualities due to the presence of p-coumaric acid and flavonoids, which help lessen spasms.
According to experts from the University of Buenos Aires, the sedative action of this substance can be attributed to the flavonoids, which contribute to a calming and relaxing effect.

According to WebMD, the antioxidant quercetin, which is present in lime tea, has shown effectiveness in reducing inflammation, particularly in the heart and other cardiovascular systems.

Individuals who are pregnant, allergic to certain components of this plant, have biliary duct obstruction, cardiovascular issues, or hypertension and are taking medication should also refrain from consuming it.

If you have chronic bladder issues, do not take this tea!

Lithium and LINDEN have a chemical interaction.
Linden may have a diuretic effect similar to that of a water tablet. Consuming linden may impair the body's ability to eliminate lithium effectively. This could lead to an elevation in lithium levels inside the body, perhaps leading to the manifestation of severe side effects. If you are on lithium medication, prior to utilizing this product, it is advisable to consult with your healthcare professional. It is possible that your dosage of lithium may require adjustment.

It should also be noted that, due to its relaxing characteristics, it is NOT advised to drink linden tea while driving or if you think you may need to drive.

You may make an infusion using a lemon slice two to three times daily with plenty of water throughout the day, as both lemon and linden are natural diuretics. Use 2 to 4 grams of loose flowers, depending on the desired strength (2 grams of loose tea per eight ounces of boiling water).

Keep the infusion covered and let the mixture sit for five to ten minutes. The dried flower tea can be used up to three times, but you will only drink the liquid tea.
