This gentle herbal blend combines Arctium lappa and Rumex crispus—two time-honored botanicals celebrated in herbal traditions for promoting a sense of balance and inner vitality.

For centuries, these roots have been brewed into tonics to support the body’s natural cleansing and harmony:

  •  Arctium lappa is known in traditional practices as a cooling, grounding root that encourages overall balance, helping the body feel refreshed and at ease.

  • Rumex crispus is valued for its rich, earthy character and its traditional use as a bitter herb, believed to help the body feel lighter and more energized.

Together, they’ve been cherished in herbalism for their association with clear, vibrant energy and a sense of ease in the eyes and skin, as well as their connection to the body’s natural flow and balance.

How to Enjoy:

Simmer 1 teaspoon per cup of water for 15–20 minutes. Strain, and sip 1 cups daily, ideally with meals. You may start slowly, 4 oz, and after 3 days, 8 oz. Add cinnamon or ginger for a warming twist. It is essential to consume an adequate amount of electrolytes to ensure that the body is functioning properly.

Who Should Be Cautious

  • People with very low iron or diagnosed with severe anemia should check with a practitioner first, as they might need a more concentrated iron plan.

  • Those with sensitive digestion, kidney stones, or chronic diarrhea should use a lighter brew (½ teaspoon per cup).

This blend is perfect for those who wish to incorporate root-based herbal traditions into their daily routine for a sense of clarity, flow, and inner glow.

Also, it’s important to understand that if someone is dealing with a leaky gut, the priority should be addressing that leak before introducing deeper-cleansing herbs like yellow dock. When the gut lining is damaged, undigested food, toxins, and germs can get into the blood, which might cause more inflammation or bring out hidden issues.

That’s why I always suggest beginning with a microbiome reset first, sealing and soothing the gut lining, and then gradually introducing herbal teas or deeper-rooting herbs like yellow dock once the foundation is stable.

Note:

While yellow dock root is widely used in traditional herbalism, it’s always important to work with a qualified health professional when introducing herbs into your routine—especially during pregnancy or while on medication. Speak with your primary doctor if you are nursing or pregnant before starting any herbs.
